I think Nigel Pearson is a very good manager, but an horrible bloke and a loose cannon.
I do think he would get more from this squad than Pulis though.

Pearson accepted a job with Belgian club OH Leuven last week, they play in their 2nd division.

This thread is truly making me laugh.

There is zero % chance of Ancelotti or Blanc coming. Literally not a prayer.

Lets get back to reality. If we chop Pulis, it means we get a manager who has already managed in the prem and likely failed elsewhere. Example, Pardew, Koeman, Pearson. Etc.

Lets be fair, a proven prem manager (there aren't many about) would move to Everton or would bide his time looking for a big job.

Or we give an unproven manager a try. People scoffing at McInnes and Potter, but who knows how good a manager they are until they are given a chance. The only way these people will get experience is if they're thrown in the deep end and they sink or swim. Nobody knew who Marco Silva was or Pochettino when he rocked up at Southampton. So yes, it is a gamble, and a major gamble at that.

Or we stick with Pulis, who IS proven. And will probably secure us the points to stay up. I've said it elsewhere, if you're going to chop Pulis you need to do it in the Summer and not mid season as like it or not, he's our best hope of survival.

Sorry, not this season he isn't. I think we are certain to go down if he remains.

Because if your Ancelotti or Blanc, your going to be motivated by cash or by winning trophies, or by both. Clubs in the middle East and China can pay 5-6 times what we can, and in any case many clubs in our own league can pay much more than us.

And the best we can hope for realistically is a top 10 finish and maybe a shot at the league cup if we get lucky. Not really something they need or want on their CV...

If we pay the money they will come. Our current Sunday league bawler is payed too much. But i'd double his wage for Blanc.

Bet Leicester said the same when they were promoted.
