The Farmers Rest (the old finger beer works) was a listed building, but M&S still managed to get shot of that....
flatten leazes terrace and build a 70k stadium.

With the advancement of engineering in the last few years is there no way they could stick Leazes terrace on a few trolleys and move it 50/60 metres northwards?

I worked with this woman 2/3 years ago from North Shields and she told me this story. She went for a drink at the Low Lights on the Quay one Friday evening with her husband and was sitting down opposite the bar. This couple came in and she had a short skirt on. £5 million for land in centre of town, in midst of a whole area that is being revamped and redeveloped seems friggin cheap to me like.
bet he wouldn't have sold it tp some other bugger for that amount
