Match Threads: Canaries v Rams and......

Since I'm still on a break with little to do, so here goes:

Match thread for the game at Carrow Road and KCOM Stadium (I'm obliged to include them)

    Line-up to follow (don't worry only Derby's).

    Meanwhile some trivia :

This is the 1st time Rowett brings a team to Carrow Road.
And he's never lost to Norwich. 1 win and a draw

Line-up is in. No Russell so Johmson recalled to first XI.
    Winnall on the bench.

Carson, Wisdom, Keogh, Davies, Forsyth, Huddlestone, Ledley, Lawrence, Vydra, Johnson, Nugent. Subs: Mitchell (gk), Baird, Pearce, Thorne, Weimann, Winnall, Martin.

Despite a shoulder injury, Curtis Davies is playing. Lowe and Hanson needing time to gain match fitness do not feature.
Bent and Bennett the 2 prominent absentees due to injuries.

(Silly me forgot Forest play the late game, so no thread on them)

No goals so far except for Boro, which brings them level at the moment with Derby.

Lolz. 1-0 to Derby. Nugent. Joint 5th on goal difference. 3 straight wins perhaps?

3 straight wins and at a difficult place too!
Other results favoured Derby too. Cardiff drew and Wolves lost.
Only Bristol City won at Sunderland, which might see Mr Grayson's tenure end.

All in all, just outside the playoffs with a game in hand. Could be Derby's season after all, eh?

Shows how daft it is to either go OTT gung ho or suicidal whatever the opening dozen results might be, be they good or bad. Nothing is decided until later on in the season and we have all seen how this division changes through a season. Bang on certs fall away, relegation favourites suddenly head for the playoffs.

It will be 3 to 4 months before we start to get an idea as to which clubs will be there or thereabouts come the sharp end of the season.

True but hope and excitement is very hard to keep a lid on....
