Actually it not always down to cash, you can offer a player as much cash as he wants but you got to give him the playing role he wants in the squad plus bonus he requires if he scores a number of amount of goals, number of appearances and number of clean sheets. If you don’t meet the demands of the player’s requirements he will not sign for the club and look elsewhere who will offer him the deal that he wants.

I've had that discussion with people many times. If Derby offered 3,000 a week and Forest 9,000 maybe I'd consider it for my childrens' sake, but 30,000 versus 90,000, no chance.

Good point ddd. Transfer embargo would hurt these rich clubs more than any fine

I wonder if players like Rodwell, Scott Sinclair, and many others look back and regret spending their best years warming a bench of a big club..suppose the wage packet helps

Fabian Delph, Rodwell and Scott Sinclair was never a big club player more of a mid-table side players at best, always bemused me why City ever decided to buy them in the first place. Since Scott Sinclair went to Celtic he became Messi overnight, shows you the type of league and club he’s more suited to when he’s banging in tons of goals for Celtic in the SPL and making assists and he couldn’t even create that in the PL with Man City.
