Unfortunately there is employment law to contend with and the delay should never have happened if Trew had cared a toss.

Hopefully AH will appeal and delay the whole thing for a few months.
Guess the problem is it might cost him more than the £125,000 in legal fee's once it's all done and put to bed...

It is "all done", or maybe not.
It went to arbitration first, an agreed amount was settled on and a STRICT confidentiality clause was inserted, where neither party was to reveal the outcome. Now that this has been revealed, presumably by Sheridan ( spit ), maybe Hardy can counter sue for breach of contract. If it was just the Daily Fail making up figures, or publishing without permission, Hardy can sue them.

Depends if AH takes it to court or not. This is only an order by the LMA and not by a court of the land. I'd be tempted to to not pay it and take it to court. The fact he got a 5 match ban for it proves he was guilty. I don't believe Sheridan has the money to persue it through the County Court with the fear of losing.

The issue isn't whether or not Sheridan was guilty but whether or not the club acted in accordance with employment contract law - and I suspect he'll get away with it falling between the care less attitude of Trew and the arrival of AH. If he'd been sacked on the day for gross misconduct there would be more of a case. Instead he was allowed to continue to ply his trade muddying the waters.

Thanks again RT for putting us in more sh1t - on top of his win on outstanding debts to a company he was involved in AH hasn't done very well on the business front - something many including me had sympathy with RT at the beginning of his tenure. Hope AH can keep taking these knocks.

Even for an organisation as corrupt as the Daily Mail, fabricating a story about how much compo a League 2 Club have had to pay to a sacked manager would seem an odd thing to make up.

So if he had just been sacked for overseeing a horrendous losing streak, we wouldn't owe him anything?

Perhaps a bit of naivety from Hardy there.

We would have had to pay him the remainder of his contract, unless Ray Trew had negotiated a lesser pay off.
