Politicians should ideally be beyond reproach. 19 year old kids who go to Ibiza don't make public spending decisions that affect everybody. Neither do sports stars or movie directors. In my eyes they can kind of behave how they please as long as its not criminal, it doesn't affect me and my family. Politicians are separate to those people, they should not be at risk of influence or blackmail because of their actions.

Yes it happens in all walks of society, but politicians need to be above that.
I do believe politicians should be more responsible BUT to expect them to be some sort of bland saints, no thank you. They are part of society not ‘saints’. I would rather they were more reflective of society as a whole, with all the negatives that this creates.

Previously so many of them, and others in senior positions have tried to give a persona that they are ‘better’ than the rest of us. The reality is they are not and we are going to continue to be disappointed in my view if we are going to put them on such a high pedestal.
