No idea but so far Murphy has looked absolute sh[I]i[/Ite, I'm afraid.
He's like a left wing version of Adam Armstrong-great promise, supposedly, but has offered not one glimpse of what he's capable of.

Rolando Aarons
surely he is worth a place on the bench given how Murphy has offered nothing so far, no?
Would have been perfect replacement for Atsu. What has he done wrong? Or what is he not doing?

Murphy is a toon fan so i'm hoping it's just nerves and trying too hard to impress. He should never have tried to beat a man where he did on the pitch. Gave the ball away every time if i recall correctly. I hope he comes good but we all know Aarons is capable of causing real problems at this level if he is fit.
Rafa has his favourites which is baffling but maybe he is starting to see the error of his ways as i never thought he would drop Perez.

Aarons deserves he chance he is an actual exciting player, Atsu Murphy are not performing so give him a go, But maybe he has offended Benitez and is in the naughty corner along with Mbemba and Mitrovic.

I've watched Aarons a few times for the reserves. he has been absolutely awful!!

I was going to say - reports in the chronicle haven't been flattering about his reserve actions.

Atsu did some very good 'approach' work today and got into some excellent positions. Unfortunately, his final ball was often awful.

I thought atsu was good today as well

I reckon the up coming court case has a lot to do with it. There will be canny cctv evidence which he'll have seen. Is it damning? Could be looking at a stretch in the 'big hoose' as they say in Scotland.
