Very sadly that is the world these days.God help us.
.....and 'celebrities' earning stupid money will still come on TV asking you to give £3 for a blanket here and a child there ----meanwhile a painting sells for £342,000,000 --that's a hell of a lot of blankets, water etc. and don't get me started on the wealth of the church.

How the hell is the common man going to benefit ? Maybe a public Holiday, BIG DEAL.

Some good news ? The Pound collapsing, The Brexit farce, No jobs, No homes, Muppets as our Leaders and Clowns waiting to take their place ? Yes we need a Wedding between 2 people who will never want for money or know real hard work so we can enjoy their day and forget the turmoil of our own, I'd have been more pleased if Harry was going to marry Angela Merkel, at least It would have put a smile on my face.
I watched a BBC documentary a couple of days ago, "Gulag", it's three hours long and made about 20 years ago. The people who were actually there, inside the system, prisoners, their wives, husbands, children, camp guards, NKVD officers, state interrogators etc. tell the story of what life was actually like for Russian citizens under Communism, and it's f***ing horrendous. It's still available for another week or so on Iplayer, for anyone who can bear to watch it.

And then I return to real life in 2017 UK, snowflakes in universities jibbering about safe spaces, women whining because some pervy old bloke put his hand on her knee, a black woman footballer getting £80k because her manager made some facetious remark about her family origins, moaning about Brexit, moaning about no jobs when the number of unemployed is at a record low, moaning about a housing shortage, those poor sods in the gulag barracks were allocated three foot each to live in, food banks utilised by people with mobile phones, tattoos, facial jewelry and Sky TV, in the gulag if you fulfilled your quota in the 12 hours you had to work you got some bread, if you didn't, you didn't, if you died so what, there were plenty more prisoners to replace you.

This documentary should be compulsory viewing for all, or certainly the younger generation, it might give them a sense of perspective on their lives which many don't seem to have.

My ma worked the night shift at Hollands. My dad was away 6 days a week driving haulage 20 hours a day for Bradleys of Accrington.

I had two younger brothers and a sister to look after and had two paper rounds to pay for my own clothes.

...and I'm supposed to be phooooookin' delirious because this Royal Toss Pot is marrying a third rate American actress?

    Phooking dream on.

Those were the days before the Tachographs came in, my dad would grab a couple of hours in the cab and he would off again.

That's why we need Trade Unions.

Been thinking about you BT. Then I realised I used to do a paper round and work in an engineers shop Saturday’s and school holidays and help out in my mums shop from age 9. My dad worked in the mill then came home to do shop work and books.
I quite like having a Royal family. It’s so much better than power grabbing dictators presidents etc who line their families and friends pockets and kill those they don’t like. I agree there are too many hangers on in the Royal family, but Harry is not one of them yet and seems to be nice. She looks to be an asset.
Good luck to them both. Nice sparkler she’s got by the way.
