Thread: It's almost taxi time...

    It's almost taxi time...

With Brady likely to be out for 6-12 months, it makes it imperative we add to the squad in January...

Word coming into TEC's earpiece is that Ryan Woods from Brentford will be needing a taxi booked.

This lad has all of the necessary attributes; he's ginger, can play a bit, he's from Brentford and he is well within our price bracket.

On behalf of TEC, I have already booked it...

I will be happy with at least 3 Major signings along with 2/3 to bulk the squad up, anything less and I'll be very disappointed.

Be prepared for major disappointment Alto, no way are we bringing six in, nor do we need them!

A back up centre half is urgently needed, a replacement for Brady is an absolute necessity and possibly Danny Ings to come home, either on loan or on a permanent deal.

I can see Arfield, Ulvestad and possibly Marney exiting.

Other than that, I think it will be as you were!

Sorry Alto bulking is nowhere near good enough. We want better than we already have and not stocking fillers. Major signings will be ok but I think this will be one or two.

And there lies the rub outwood, different views and opinions from many.

Bardsley, Kevin Long, Tom Anderson, Marney, Westwood, Ulvestad, Arfield, O'Neil, Vokes, Barnes, Walters, Agyei.

IMO The above players are fringe or coming back from injury, out of them and only at a push I only see Vokes as up to it, we don't know how Marney is going to come back.

We need better players and out the one's who are not good enough, and its not as if we have no brass to better it.

It'll be interesting to see what happens, as Alto says above there's no shortage of brass to strengthen the team. I doubt any Burnley manager, in recent times anyway, will have been able to compete for players like Sean can now.

I wonder if the likes of Anderson, Agyei, Ginnelly and O'Neill are anywhere near EPL level or if any of the others lurking in the Development Squad are anywhere near hitting the first team?

From what I can see we could probably build a decent Championship side but with the possible exception of Agyei I cannot think of any of the others who might make the step up.

    Anybody know or think differently?

I can't see that many, if any, of those listed would be leaving mid-season. Certainly, Bardsley, Long, Westwood, Arfield, Vokes, Barnes, Walters and Marney are well aware of the system and how it works and would be able to fit in as replacements.
I don't think that there will be much coming in during the January window unless they have already been identified by Sean as being 'fit for purpose' It will be interesting to see where we finish this season and look at progress made and where we go from there.

Liam Moore from Reading may well be joining us soon, rumours suggest from a West London based work colleague...

I was impressed with this lad when he was at Leicester.
