Who did not vote out of some degree of self interest?
Of course I voted remain because (1) I thought it was the best way to secure the UK's future whilst accepting that it did have its drawbacks (but none of them the size of an elephant's foreskin and leavers have ensured plenty of those), and (2) I and my family would have been better off and less damaged by remaining.
I studied the field and read volumes of stuff before I voted. I consider that I made a balanced choice and not a purely selfish one.
