    We must play Brunt.

Why oh why is a fit Chris Brunt on the bench? As soon as he came on we looked a different side. With virtually his first touch he sent Rondon through only for him to produce a weak effort. His corner led to the goal and I thought we'd earnt a point when another of his corners nearly led to a goal. We make so few chances from open play so his dead ball kicks are *****. Not only that but am I the only one who thinks that his presence gives the side confidence? Burke, I thought, was completely out of his depth and brought absolutely nothing to the game yet he played sixty odd minutes and Brunt, twenty at the most. Don't get it!

Have to agree LB...although when he made his return he looked to have a bit of excess weight but looked more in condition today...looking forward to those telling corners again.

Burke only a young man but his moment of glory came when he should have slipped the ball right instead of trying to beat the man round the outside and losing the ball...if he continues in that vein he will not only be Burke by name but also by nature.

We have to on today's showing Leicester ,
As for Burke with different players around him & different style of play I think he could be ok , he's still young but that comes with a lot of pressure on him from his 15 million price tag was it ?

There is a massive difference between playing a full 90 mins than coming on for a a 20 minute cameo Brunt has for a long time been our best passer of the ball and we know all about his set pieces but where would you play him? i'm not sure he has the legs to keep running up and down the left.

Play him on the left side of midfield...Gibbs gets up and down very well, another good player and they should make a good left side partnership and take it in turns to do the galloping.

What we lack is creativity, and our most creative player is on the bench!

He has to play every minute of every match where he is fit. His corners alone mean he should start!

I don't buy the theory that his legs have gone either. Still has a lot to offer and is probably our most important player, look how we've missed him in the last couple of months.

Amazing how players suddenly become better when they aren't playing. Yacob fell into the same bracket. James Morrison is now a world beater an all. Just really shows how far we have gone backwards over the last three years.

I've always felt this way about Brunt, but you could be right about Yacob and Morrison.

The fact is if we're not winning, people are going to look at players on the bench and out of the team and think they could be doing a better job.

For me, it's nothing to do with him not being in the side. I've always rated him and I want him in our starting line up as he offers far more attacking options than Barry, Livermore or Krychouiak. It's as simple as that!

I have always liked Brunt too mate. The point i am making is we should have outgrown these players by now. We were told we would only sign better players than what we had and now here we are clamoring for Brunt and Morrison. The players you have mentioned proved that we have not progressed as brunt does indeed offer more than them.
