Did Pulis appoint himself as head coach for our club?

Is someone else responsible for that, eg owner(s), board etc?

When Pulis left 26 games remained, how can he be responsible for what happens after that, with, supposedly by some (not me) the best squad ever with full grown professional footballers?

    Is this thread for real?

Could not agree more with you Swedish! Pulis left after 15 games so Pardew has more or less the same time to equal the first 23 games last year - where were we in the table 8th!

If we go down, sorry the blame will be Pardew's lock - stock and barrel. Not unreasonable either to expect Pardew to equal or better the first 23 games of last year with a better squad!

Yes, and not forgetting the typically Pulis-esque team Pardew fielded on Sunday vs Man U...

He admitted though in fairness what you would expect from a Pub Manager - " I picked the wrong feckin team"

Well Alan - don't pick the wrong feckin team on Saturday, as this is a six pointer

The problem is that if we do get relegated those who wanted Pulis to stay will say that he would have kept us up. That would only be conjecture though as it's impossible to prove, so Mr Pardew, please keep us up and 'put that arguement to bed'.

He wouldn't have kept us up mate. Not a cat in hells chance. The idiot played Brunt right wing.Don't believe the hype Cloughie never got relegated until he did.

By your logic then that makes Steve Clarke a better manager than Pulis as he finished 8th with a worse squad?
Please can you tell me if Pardew or anyone else gets us relegated with someone elses team. How can it be their fault?
Strange you only picked the first 23 games of last season and ignore the following 30 ish since. Don't suit your arguement though do they?

When did Pulis pick a 4-3-3 formation then? When was the last time Pulis made a half time substitution when we were losing?

You can twist anything, any which way you can! So we were crap in the last 15 games but we still finished tenth. We have been crap in the first 15 games this season, so why can't Pardew then ensure a top ten finish?

Big Sam has done zero at Everton apart from the new confidence factor a new manager brings. Not being critical of Pardew after a few games but we were a shambles at Swansea and he admitted he picked the wrong team on Sunday. Good start Alan.........

Even if Barry Fry was our manager, with the best squad for many years, you would still hope to see an improvement year on year. On that note, it's early days, so we may finish a tad better than 10th!

We are in the brown stuff if Pardew does not get a result on Saturday! Can't keep blaming Pulis and yes it was the right decision to get rid, but are not convinced Pardew is the knight in shining armour and it's no coincidence that Newcastle supporters are having a laugh. Then again, did you expect our Board to get a proven manager with a record much better than Pulis ? Everton would have broken the bank to get Big Sam who would not have given us a second glance...........

I have to give credit where credit is due...most of the posters on this thread are screaming for a win and fair play to them because it is they who go every week or travel miles when the opportunity arises.

Totally agree with you Whicka, Pardew is trying to play some decent football, hope he gets it right sooner than later.
