    You're quite right Barrie, he calls him a shepherd but it is goats he's looking after. At the moment they don't know what to do with him, he was terrified when he was captured because the goats belonged to the Turks and were now roaming wild, he's now in an even worse state because they've slaughtered, cooked and eaten the goats they managed to round up. They can't reason with him, and they still fear he could betray them to the Turks, so at the moment he's tied to a tree while they go out blowing up the Turks railway line passing through the area..

    Inevitable really, how many managers who are on the brink, like Hughes has been for weeks, actually pull it round and survive ? There must be some, but off hand I can't think of any.
