Good, that makes me quite happy actually. Looks like a set deal with Mitro also joining Anderlecht.

Typical that we are only allowed loan signings on behalf of Doesn'tLikeToSpendCashley, but with this particular squad with the rest of the season in mind, it might actually be a positive thing for once.

Just seen this: Slimani injured or ineligible for next three games, won’t be able to play against Leicester. So will play a maximum of ten games. £2m loan fee and and £1m in wages. £300k a game. This is what happens when you ignore Rafa and think you know better.

You never know it might kick start Joselu and Gayle into aiming for the net!!

I read one if the local journos saying, we would have bought him, but (because if his lack of playing time at Leicester) there would be hild ups with a work permit etc. this doesnt apply to loan deals.

Still, we will have a better chance in those ten games. I'm not too sure about Slimani, but I'm happy with him coming as I do believe he's vastly better than what we've got.

Aye, this. Glad we're not getting him permanently but he's instantly a massive upgrade on Gayle or Joselu.

We have 2 important games coming up over the next few days which could shape our season. Therefore where is the logic in a injured loanee striker over this period ? Granted its a sigh of relief that we have a proven premier league player but I cant help but think that our needs over the next 2 games go way beyond this. Why oh why are things so complicated with the Toon? Oh aye fcb !!!!!!!

and if we are going for a crock

Let's face it , it was highly unlikely we were going for anything but loans incase we go down. Even if we stay up and no buy out.. Groundhog Day .
