Let me try again, you walloper.

12 noon leave the hoose, to avoid the panic late shuttle buses full of pinted-up fans and the 1400-1500 congestion on the A944.

1245 bus to NIMBYland 0.75 hours

1330 arrive at Macdiarmid North. 0.75 hours

Exit from Legoland at 1700. 3.5 hours

Wait for bus with space on it. 0.5 hours (being generous here)

Travel into town or P&R point 0.75 hours (likely more)

Town or P&R to home 0.75 hours.

Do, as they say, "the math".

    (0.75 + 0.75 + 3.5 + 0.5 + 0.75 + 0.75) = 7 hours.

Factorised: Travel time 3 hours; game time and hingin aroon admiring the views of Subsea 7 and Transocean 3.5 hours; bus waiting time 0.5 hours.

Some days slightly less, some days slightly more.

    Midweek? Forget it.

You're coming across as even more of a **** than you were when you were Gallus79.

And stop the ****ing text talk.

    Kind regards

    A very negative post indeed.

If its going to be too much of a hassle for you then don't go. Other fans currently travel for that length of time to the current home of AFC.

There's an awful lot of pysh about the time it will take to get from town to Westhill? Lets look at a Saturday - -KO is usually 3.00pm but can also be around 12.30pm. Travelling before either of these time is NOT peak traffic flow out to Westhill and after the game the same coming back to town! If it is a shuttle then it will go A to B rather than service bus routes so it will be relatively quick 20-30 min
On a midweek game the traffic starts to die down on the way out to Westhill after 6pm so again around 30 min. Obviously we don't know the traffic flow arrangements yet but I would think buses would have priority etc?
If the club has any sense they could run Park and Ride as they do now from same places (BOD, Kingswells, Altens) and add on Stonehaven and Portlethen and the place near the airport (Craibstone?) for fans coming in from the north? Moenchengladbach have a fantastic shuttle service and you can take your beer on the bus but it still takes 20-30mins from the station. I would hope they would be going early so that you could arrive and have time for a beer/live music etc

Agreed regarding the shuttle system with Die Fohlen. Works very well.

Aye so if there's no pick ups on the way, you have to travel to where the bus leaves. The transport assessment reckons 30-40 minutes from town on a shuttle, which I'd think was spot on if you added football traffic.

The pick up points is a biggie if I didn't take car I would have to travel to city centre to catch a bus to go back past my house to game then reverse this. Hopefully they will be able to identify this and rejig the buses to suit fans once the system is underway. Straight through buses plus pick up buses could work well.pick ups starting further en route. That said I'll probably still drive......there should really be a moped Lane. Realistic, I'd say.

I've been going to Dons games since January 1966, so your advice is not welcome all that much, to be honest.

By all means, those who don’t want it built on their doorstep I can have sympathy for, but those who don’t want it purely based on their own feelings I cant fathom.

If you say he cant be trusted based on his past showings, then I understand that, but I cant for the life of me get why he, the entire club, most of the fans, the council etc can all think this is a good idea, but the select few think it will sink us. There are those within the club who have made feasibility studies, explored the financing and the repayment options and should therefore know better than those of us on a forum, with little to go on other than the fact they think Milne is a c*nt. If it is going to end up sinking the club, then why do it? That part makes zero sense to me.
It’s an expensive vanity project. He’s a Coldplay listening, One Show watching, vanilla ice cream buying, missionary position sh@gging (birthdays & Xmas only), European dishes out the Indian ordering, Florida holidaying, Waitrose shopping, boring, bland, beige bell end.

This ground will be sh1t because he’s sh1t & he’s getting his sh1t mates to build it in a sh1t area.

Just, for purely personal reasons, looking at the P&R/shuttle from Bridge of Don, the Transport Plan says that it will go via Mounthooly, Westburn Road and presumably Lang Stracht to join the A944. An express shuttle would go to Black Dog, join the new A90 and then get on to the A944 at the Kingswells interchange.

This suggests that it will be picking fans up en route, heading INTO the traffic already heading to Westworld.

**** your accusations of negativity, I have no confidence in AFC getting this right and I have no confidence in any journey being anything but very time-consuming, and a cash cow for Brian ****ing Souter and Moir *******ing Lochhead.

Still, if you're happy and you know it, clap your hands.

All for Aurora! Is this the "everyone getting behind it" they talk of?

That's very ironic when I read some of the other posts on here.
