It wasn’t the seating that killed the Pittodrie atmosphere, it was the NUMBERING of the seats that did it. Before numbers, you could turn up and sit beside your mates, or join the comradely anarcho-syndicalists at Baiting Corner beside the Beach End and taunt those knuckle-scraping ****s from Kincorth and Mastrick who could only get tickets for the sooth terracing and who adopted Lanarkshire accents for the afternoon, by the way.
