By the way we got Brad Potts from the Blacky orange lashers in the summer, but hes been found wanting for us this season at this level. We also sold Stefan Payne to the Shrews and hes done well for them, so good luck to him and them.
Portsmouth in all fairness shouldnt be at this level should they, I dread to think of how bad their management has been over the years to put them in this position.
To be honest, Acido, I was a bit worried all along. Bowyer received a lot of unfair criticism, but we got too many draws. Under Mowbray, a bit the same.
The last day was a killer, with results going against us in the last half-hour. All the same, it felt like part of an inevitable downward spiral.
This season, I have been pleasantly surprised by TM, but we have again suffered from "too-many-draws" syndrome. It comes back to confidence and consistency in the end.
I think it may come down to the play-offs, which is hard on the nerves at my age. I simply can't watch penalty shoot-outs any more!
As for Portsmouth: the clearest warning ever that reputation and history can't compete if the overall management of a club is that bad. We've been victims too, but at least we seem to have managed to dig our heels in before going over the cliff.
(Also, Venky's seem a bit oblivious. I don't reckon they give us that much thought. We are just a small fish in a very big pond, as far as their business is concerned).

Ive no reason for or against Blacky Rovers of course Aucks, but I was so angry at Huddersfield's attitude at the end of last season.
They didnt give a sh*it when they went and lost away at Birmingham even against 10 men on the day, and whether it hurt Blackburn or Notts Forest's fortunes.
We could all ask is that right though, especially as they were in the play offs and they went on to scrap and be one of the poorest and luckiest teams to ever win in the play offs. TWO penalty shoot out 'wins' eh!.
Well put it this way I will be laughing if or when they/Hudds come straight back down this season.

I could never understand how that was acceptable to the authorities. Presumably, they checked the rules carefully and stayed within them. In terms of the ethics of the sport, though, very poor.
(I am not only old; I'm old-fashioned about "playing the game"!)

I feel old fashioned as well these days Aucks lol. But surely we all know whats right and wrong dont we, and I know and have chatted with some Hudds fans this season and they are honest enough to say 'who cares eh, we're in the Prem and thats what matters'.
Thats a despicable and selfish attitude isnt it after they were so lucky to go up..... but wouldnt you or me say the same ehh if it meant our own team going up to the Premship ?.

You're probably right, but it shouldn't be left to fans, should it? The regulations need to be tight and clear. When they're not, well, you end up with a shambles like FFP, or like Olympic corruption, for example. And how does the sport allow the high farce run by that group calling themselves "Players' Agents"?

Even though I understand what you’re getting at, what you are intimating is that the games outcome would/should have been the same / similar. That’s pretty much ‘speculation’. No actual guarantees.
Anyone can actually ‘opinion’ that there was a greater ‘chance’ of success, but that is all it is.
That approach is a readily debatable issue.
If the inference is that on this one particular weekend ‘the wheels have fallen off’, time will reveal if that is the case.
As you, I have to form my view largely upon what I read and hear, and that is not a firm basis to utilise when making claims.
That is why I always counter my opinion with ‘not from first hand observation’.
My ‘instinct’ tells me this squad can regroup and put this behind them and go again. By this I do not mean a non losing run, but continue to challenge for a place , be it auto or play off . If it’s to be play off so be it

That's it. Game over. We will get relegated now. We may aswell sack Mowbray. Pathetic. Any side anywhere in football can go on an 18 unbeaten run. But you have to be really crap to lose one game in 19 matches. What a joke.
Nobody go anymore, lets all pack up and go home. Seasons ends now.
The sensible thing to do now is throw away my ticket, and sit and talk ****e on the Internet, about a game I haven't seen. Then keep posting negative ****e every week, all season, about things I have seen. Then when we do lose, come on here acting like a patronising little prick say 'I told you so'

Nah, fk the LET, and **** people quick to jump on this now.
We lose one game and all this starts. You know nothing about football if you start chirping up now. And it's almost like your happy we lost. **** off, or put your hand in your pocket and support us.
