We would be quick to slag off the Red Dogs if they were in our position and were having the same discussion.

While we're at it, just supposing that we did get promoted and did end up in the champions league the following season, would any one of our players be good enough?

Sarcastic maybe, but there's a number of Fester players who I would never have thought would played champions league football.

I honestly wouldn’t begrudge any team who chose to look at future possibilities but your final point is a very fair and valid one.

Ram59 we shouldn't even be discussing next season We are not that good that we can take anything for granted Seven or Eight teams as good as us and at least three better IMO that's without Wolves who will pass the ton

Interesting views Mista. Agree there are plenty of decent sides but 7 or 8 as good as us?

Unbeaten away since mid September, unbeaten in eleven, 10 clean sheets in 12, second best defence and third highest scorers.

I'd say there was enough there to suggest our current position is warranted.

Personally and it's all about opinions I think we are in the top 4 Wolves included.

Manx I've seen this position so many times I still believe there are far more teams in with a shout than what we think dangerous to dismiss teams like Boro Preston Fulham Bristol etc it can change so quick We have some really hard matches yet starting Sat

There are plenty more teams in the mix, probably half of the division and all will take points off of each other.

We are more resilient this time round. Wolves, Villa, Fulham and us to me look best equipped.

From here in the next game will be the hardest.

See Sheffield United as more of a threat than some. Had a lean spell recently but they’ve outplayed us twice and were unlucky not to take all six points. The final top six will come from the current top nine though imo and Wolves are unlikely to surrender a lead of twelve points over third place.

P.S. Isn’t it just as daft to play this game than to ask how many players we’ll need if we do go up?

Manx. You dismiss Cardiff at your peril Wolves will finish at least 18 points clear

Don't deny Wolves a landslide margin and haven't said Cardiff won't be there, Ijust noted the 4 teams who I feel are best equipped.
