I broke the habit of a lifetime and left well before the final whistle as I found it depressing to watch as we were never going to win that game. The one game they really had to win and on the day it was, we were found wanting.

Truth is, we've stayed in this league but we've cut corners, tried to do everything on a small time budget. How many transfers have fell through at the last minute? How many players have we been outbid by newly promoted clubs and so on? I think the overall attitude of the club by doing things on the cheap and appointing inferior people to key positions has been our undoing and it just happens to be this season. The new owner said at the time he took over that he planned to continue running the club on a prudent basis. This day has been coming for a long time IMO. We've tried to stay in the division as our main ambition meanwhile clubs around us have not stood still so we are where we are.

Totally agree with this! The Board/Pardew could have brought in replacements in the January window - they sold a promising youngster for more cash than paying an injured/unfit gamble of a player! Pardew played a strong team against Man City in a game we would never win and then whinges we were second back in a game we had to win.

Pardew plays Rondon over Jay R our best performing player of late - FFS! Pulis went months ago, and whilst the football is a bit easier on the eye - points on the table are not! If this is not Pardew's team then why the feck were replacements not brought in. Why did Field/Leko not play against Man City?

Whilst Pulis had to go - he should have gone at the end of last season if everybody wanted rid! We reap what we sow as a club - no ambition - changing one manager for a worse one and a complete lack of players in the transfer window!

PS whilst Peace raped the money from the club, he was at least interested and a fan! Does Lai care - well he will next year on the token visit against Barnsley or Burton and his investment taking a dive!
