Chinese by nature are long term investors. They are systematically expanding in every sector and have very ambitious plans that are aimed at future generations.
I believe that if we are relegated they will totally rebuild the club. They don’t like to lose you know and will take relegation personally.

Was talking to someone about the Chinese the other day actually, unrelated to Albion, and he was saying that in Chinese culture it is bad luck to spend money just before Chinese New Year, but to invest it wisely in the New Year. A New Year brings new financial hope to many etc.

Interesting because the Chinese New Year generally falls in the first two weeks of Feb, straight after the January transfer window!

By the way, all of the above could be the drunken ramblings of a random man in the pub. I have no idea!

Relegation will be a disaster for the Albion and knock us and our limited ambitions back severely. We don't derserve to survive and I don't believe that we have any chance of staying up. The style and quality of football we have played over the last 2-3 seasons has been dire and we simply got lucky with our table finishes. The only way we can ever propel ourselves into the upper reaches of the PL or to win domestic cups is through huge investment and the aquisition of quality players, which I can never see happening. We are not a fashionable club or in a catchment area to tempt new supporters. We have history but that is simply not enough.

As I have intimated before, with the exception of 2 or 3 players, our squad is championship standard and bearing in mind that we will haemorrhage our best players when we drop, I don't believe the so called seasoned players left will possess the fight and endurance required to bounce back like we did in the 2000's. I fear a long and unhappy road ahead for us, all of which has been self-inflicted.
