One mistake and you are slated whereas elsewhere you might make 10 and they don’t get the same level of vitriol.

I understand and what you say re he could have shouted but the last goal should have been cleared from the corner way before he had a save to make.

is he the best keeper I’ve ever seen - no.
is he the finished product - no
can he get better - yes
is he good enough for this level - I think yes and his good qualities outweigh the bad

i think you said before BPF should get a run and I think he would be good but not likely to happen and I think Felix is at least as good as Loners. Interesting stats on the YEP site - his average rating matches Rob Green’s from last season.

point away at Derby is always a good result even if it feels like 2 points dropped
He is, and for as long as he has a hole in his ar5e, will always be, a less than average League 1 keeper, probably best turning out for whatever passes for a pub team back home.

I genuinely don't even think he is a good shot stopper. He makes routine saves and that is about it.

Silvestri was a brilliant shot stopper who couldnt catch a cold and had terrible communication but would pull off absolute worldies.

Even when he made a half-decent save yesterday he still spilled the ball out of his hands and had to kick it away.

I'm sorry, I just can't understand how somebody can't see or accept the reality of this. Even the media have been united on it: TV/newspapers/local and national/pundits have made clear and damning comments about this over the last few weeks. Some were able to see it earlier like some of us.

And even if some on here can't see his lack of ability, then surely they can see the point that he was supposed to be better than Rob Green, or why else get rid of the latter?

On that point alone, everyone must surely agree that compared to Green he is a liability and costs us points with his own play and his lack of authority to give the defence confidence. And as such he was a step backwards and has contributed massively to our problems this seasons (along with, of course, other factors).

But there really is no way of escaping the reality here - unless of course people are going to start wheeling out statistics again to show what a great keeper he is, because for 7 games he never had anything to do, right at the start of the season?

If our goalie reads this forum i'd be asking why he isn't out learning how to be a better goalie instead of reading his reviews.
