I doubt Milne would take the same threat again especially because of his love for McInnes,I don’t think he had the same love for Calderwood as he never appointed him in the first place.
Another problem is that unambitious c**t Milne is happy with 3rd.
He’s happy that there’s a strong “Rangers” in the league.
    What a pr1ck

You are one of the few who realise Milne is the main problem.

I think we are on our way to becoming a bottom 6 side whether McInnes is in charge or isn’t.

This is the man who moved Craig Brown upstairs instead of sacking him after 2 seasons of failing to make the top 6 with one of the biggest budgets in the league, and that includes a season with sevco out of the league.

I could use the example of us being papped out of cups by numerous part time teams yet failing to sack the managers on the spot but every one knows that already.

If it wasn’t for the Donald family (the 2015 version) we’d still be mired in debt.
    We’re regressing that’s for sure.
I get the fact our budget has us where we should be, but the subserviency shown by Milne towards “Rangers” added to McInnes delusion over performances v the bigot brothers is depressing.
    Would change be so bad?
McInnes going wouldn’t be so bad it’s the worry of who’d take over that worries me.

There are plenty worse teams than us in the league and I honestly don’t see us being a bottom six club soon but that is not the point of my take on McInnes.
Do we stick with him because he keeps us out of the bottom six? Do we let him not improve on where we are? We are a team under his management that sets up at Pittodrie (our own pitch) to sit in and let the likes of Celtic and the new Rangers have a right go at us. We are weak minded and have absolutely no ambition if we can’t even try to show them we are a threat. We are nothing short of just making up the numbers with this approach and the quicker it changes at Aberdeen FC the better.
We as fans shouldn’t accept this pathetic approach as it is us that pay to watch our club. Get this attitude right out of our club now!

That’s the attitude that is assuming someone will come in and do better than McInnes has,you can use the “you don’t know that anyone cant do better than McInnes “ stick but I know for supporting the club for the last 20 years under Stewart Milne that there is more chance it will be worse than it will be better.

You do realise that McInnes has beaten Celtic 4 times and we only beat them 5 times in the entire reign of Milnes tenure before that?

I’m not trying to say 4 wins against Celtic is impressive but you can see why Milne would never sack him when he has won more times against them than 8 managers done in 15 years.

You make a very good point, but then again, you are only as good as your last game and the form has McInnes currently on extremely poor against the Gruesome Twosome of late.

I think today was a decent game, it was a good tactful game that forced Celtic to go long on a number of occasions and restricted their efforts.
We can also see that Celtic under Rodgers and SevCo since e window ha dramatically improved.
Both cheeks realise the threat we pose and raise their games accordingly.
There’s no resting of players or taking it easy when they play us.
So it’s an aspect that means we struggle to beat them when some other “lesser” teams manage

How we did not score today I do not know.

I think that says more about Milnes tenure!

It’s all about progressing. Would I be right if I said that under McInnes we have the worst record for defeats in a row against Celtic? McInnes was supposidly beating records but now he is going backwards.
It’s all right trying to defend him for what he has/had achieved but this club needs to move forward and not let McInnes escape his now pathetic record and tactics he has shown this season. Football is played to win, we are forgetting that now at Aberdeen as some matches I am not sure we are even trying to win. A bad footballing approach is adopted at Aberdeen now so something has to change before we sink beyond repair.

That’s one statistic, but what about the rest.
Record points last year, two cup finals. It was always going o be difficult to replicate, but were still up there.
Someone also posted that he has beat Celtic 4 Times in his tenure which is more than the previous 8 managers accumulated in total under Milne.

I think we are also going through a transformation in the team / squad and we’ll continue again in the summer.
I’m far from convinced we would get any better, anyone who does supersede DM will be a risk and more likely fare worse than DM in my opinion
