Franny was the 'fox in the box' bust onto the scene got a huge move, probably too early, and wasted his career really.

Hopefully we have etched DJ Campbell out of our memories??
and how about Jon 'One season wonder' Stead.
Comes in scores 6 in the final 13games and does really well! Then scores 2 the whole of following the season!

Robbie Fowler signed under Paul ince, complete with large belly. Journalist Alan Nixon thought it was a coup and we'd be thrilled. We weren't. Suffice to say, Fowler did nothing at Rovers.

Wasted his career perhaps, but I bet he's still got more money in the bank that any of us!

Marcus Bent did OK for us for a short, but crucial period. Scored against that lot at turf moor too.

No doubt they will turn him into a good player, they have a good track record. Then when he's made it, he can return back 'home'

    Great shout. I liked Bent.
Must say Mark Hughes never ever let us down. Even though we where his last club, he was decent.
I will always remember his final game, playing centre mid in the league cup final in Cardiff vrs Spurs (as Tugay couldn't play) and he was superb!!!

What was the name of the Spanish striker who came on and made his debut in that final?
    He's another.

    Remember N'onda?
