Alts me old bean, the past 3 seasons has left me wondering whether I should let football be a part of my life any more. In recent times I have given up on the European, English Premiership scene and have reduced interest in national football. All that I am clinging onto is Scottish Football, mainly because of my longstanding following of the Shed (there I go again!). The state they are in I just feel I can't be bothered any more. Badly needing a derby win!

    This

It's been really bad but it's been three bad years after a bloody excellent decade that most clubs in the country won't get to see, the players and teams we had would stroll to top 3 the last couple years, the big games and memories, the Scottish Cup, endless memorable matches and moments, usually top 4/5, with crowds and atmosphere to go with it

Bad with the good etc, we will be back, just a case of when

Shedz, you are the most optimistic character on this board. I wish I had a drop of it. I 'hope' we will be back, but the dark clouds over Tannadice have yet to reveal a silver lining!

Ram sorry if my comment about the Shed caused any offence, it wasn't meant to. Whitfield says different but must admit i never came across the club being referred to as the Shed only the fans.
Anyway I can't imagine life without United. I've always supported through thick and thin and always will. Even if we went bust next week if someone asked me in 20 years time which team I support I'd say Dundee United.
Let's hope that better things lie ahead.
    Keep the faith, keep supporting.
    Arabest!
