As for this season, can only put it down to our poor home record. There has been some terrible dull home games.

Poor away support for a 2nd top team as well.

the dumfries public which mostly dont follow queens say 50% thentheres say 40% that would consider and prob go to odd big games and a percentage who are the diehards 10% ,the 50% prob cant be persuaded ,the 40% we have a chance to get them here and there ,but for that target %age thay wont pay 16 quid to watch queens on a regular basis ,the queens diehard fans cant see why 16 quid is a prob as all thay can see is we are one of the cheapest in the league ,to a hooked queens fan that is acceptable and good ,but to a floating fan its unacceptable so you see them picking odd games ,but i reckon out that target 40% there will be a good portion that would accept 16 quid but would require a top notch successful team to follow with a exciting brand of football on show ,so to get them floaters queens just need to be successful ,next decent size of support at a queens game will be the playoffs if we get there ,but if we lose sight of the top 4 our crowds will go well below 1000 .

We quite simply can’t continue as a full time club with crowds like yesterday

Quite frankly Arrol the product on the pitch for the home games is simply not entertaining or attractive enough to bring the fans though the turnstiles. We get tantalising glimpses, such as yesterdays second goal, to see what the team is capable of and it is shown fairly consistently in away games and that is what I find most frustrating about Queens at the moment. I turn up at the home games not knowing what I will see on the park but at the same time full of trepidation that it will be the lump ball which seems to be the default position when things are not going well with the occasional glimpse of decent football. I don't think we have a bad squad at the moment but we certainly need to more attacking orientated to bring in the fans who seem to be voting with their feet at the moment.

Amazed at the tannoy announcement tbh as I would think Queens are paying a substantial amount of money for
stewards to enforce the smoking ban. !

You would certainly reckon so, anyway.

Are you seriously suggesting that the smoking ban has caused a significan drop in attendances recently at Palmy ?

unfortunately admin it is the case ,i know quite a few older extremely loyal queens fans over the last couple of decades that stopped going with the smoking ban announcement ,it was just the final straw of quite a few things thay were noticing changing over the years ,i reckon the smoking ban took around 400ish off our diehard contingent .

Nowhere near 400 but it HAS stopped some coming and we as a club cannot afford to have these fans no longer attending games at Palmerston. A smoking area next season is a MUST
