    Why does he need to ply his agent with questions? Was it his agent who said you have to go to S****horpe or was it his employer?

    According to Nolan and Yates himself, in interviews they gave at the time, it was entirely Yates's own decision.

    According to his interview in the redrag, although he was happy & settled at Notts he saw Scunny as a better opportunity to earn his place across the river, good or bad decision? only time will tell.

    Yes he said he thought it was time to try and make the step up to League 1 - personally I thought it was a bit premature after just half a season of experience at League 2 level but then I'm biased. (No doubt there were also financial matters involved that he didn't mention.) The move doesn't seem to have benefited anybody very much so far- certainly not S****horpe or Notts (or Forest for that matter) and probably not Yates himself.
