It's been going on for years and is only classed as a Level 2 offence as far as the ICC are concerned. This is on a par with things like

Showing serious dissent at an umpire's decision by word or action.
Breach of the Logo Policy relating to a commercial logo or a player's cricket bat logo.
Public criticism of a match related incident or match official.
Inappropriate and deliberate physical contact between players during play.
Aggressively charging towards an umpire while appealing.
Deliberate distraction or obstruction on the field.
Throwing the cricket ball at a player, umpire or official in a dangerous manner.
Using language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or of a seriously insulting nature to another player, umpire, referee, team official or spectator.
Any attempt to manipulate a match in regard to the result (In a negative way), net run rate, bonus points or otherwise. (Example: Intentionally losing so that a team will face a weaker opponent in the Finals.)

The scale of penalties for this are as follows:- Level 2: Fine of 50% to 100% of match fee and/or ban for 1 Test or 2 ODIs.

The ICC have issued punishment relevant to their Code of Conduct, the rest is down to the Austrain Cricket Board if any other punishment is to be made.

All out for 107, no doubt they just wanted to get it over with and get out of there, a team that died of shame. It does surprise me though, and they have gone back up in my estimation just a smidgen, I never thought that any Aussie cricketer had any shame.

...and then yesterday there was the Portsmouth full back who got a girly slap after winding up an Oxford player who had just missed a penalty. The tart from Pompey went down like he had just been shot between the eyes.

Cheating is now going on in epidemic proportions.

Nice to see the Aussies getting the perp treatment though, I must confess...

Sport has long ago been lost to the amateur version of sport.

    It's all about money.

The underarm incident; Mintgate of SA; In 1994, the England captain Michael Atherton was caught in what became known as the 'dirt in the pocket scandal'.

    All at it.

Blame Australia? You have short memories.

I think the shameful disgrace that allowed Ramada's ban to be rescinded is the route cause of the problem.

Gentlemen's sport? Fair play for all in Cycling; Cricket; Athletics and on and on.

Sporting challenge? You must be joking.
