    Team vs Huddersfield

I disagree with the lads on the other thread-I think this is a must win. Not because 'it's only Huddersfield' but because a defeat combined with other results could put us back into the scenario where another loss could put us back into the bottom 3 and that brings a whole new level of pressure. A win, however would put us within a win of possible safety (although I still think a team may go down on 38 points).

    ......................................Dubravka.... ............................

    Yedlin..............Lascelles...........Lejeune... .........Dummett

    Ritchie.............Shelvey.............Diame..... ....Kennedy

    ...........................Perez.................. ......

    .............................Gayle...............

Good news already-Joselu is injured. Let's not pretend he offers anything to the team, folks-his job is to score goals and he's utterly shite at that. Slimani is available rather than fit which is why I wouldn't start him even though Gayle is clearly going through a massive crisis of confidence. He's not very good to start with but I like the lad and hope he scores this afternoon for his own good not just the team's. As you'll know, I'd rather play Murphy behind Gayle as opposed to Perez but Rafa doesn't seem keen on him.

We should have enough to win this one, especially if Diame and Shelvey play as well as they have recently. If things aren't going as planned, I hop Rafa makes the changes a bit earlier than usual. I'm going for Perez to get subbed on 68 minutes with everyone saying 'why has it taken so long'

We only said a not lose

I think that team, think you've got it bang on.

Reckon we'll see Slimani in 2nd half myself. Gayle may not be scoring but he as at least moving the defence around and setting goals up again. Maybe now that Slimani is actually fit and in squad Gayle will up game even further.

Aye, that's a good point about his movement.

I just want him to rely on his instincts more-he's too ponderous, too scared to shoot straight away. Been loads of occasions in the last few games when he's had the chance to get a shot away but you can almost see the confidence draining out of him.

You're not wrong, the Gayle of last season that was confident his shot would go in would have scored quite a few more this season.

I think he's been great today. There's a reason Rafa don't sub him.
