West Brom are more or less sunk now. Some of the names on the list might not fancy taking the job at this stage of the season although it does offer some breathing space as whoever is appointed won't be expected to perform a miracle. Not necessarily. If he started off at say 8/1 and 7th in the market. He could have the 2nd most bets placed on him taking him into, say 13/2 or 5/1. He may then still be 3rd favourite but catching up the front runners. It’s all about the opening market position.

FWIW, knowing a few Baggie fans, he would be a very popular choice (albeit not a big name as such).

The term “legal insider trading” is the key.....I knew the manager was getting the job regardless if the book showed different, hence I punted accordingly whilst I was allowed to, which was not long.

Insider trading is relating to share trading and if you told the bookies when you collected your winnings that you had knowledge from inside the club that mcinnes was getting the job they would have refused to pay out so you’d have had to go to civil court where you’d have lost.
