    Tony Mowbray.

When he left Coventry, Cynical fans cried 'busted flush' about Mowbray. He was appointed at Rovers, and you could hear the sneers from out friends down the road..

    Well..

He been fantastic for Rovers since day one, just what we needed. He was so unlucky not to keep a rovers team with some questionable players in the championship last season, and now this season has excelled in every way, management, signings and showing faith in some of our talented academy products.

Whatever happens the rest of this season, what will be will be, but he's been an excellent appointment in my opinion.

    There, I said it.

Imposter!!! What have you done with Saxo??!!

Good post, and fair I'd say. The biggest accolade I can say is look at how quiet its gone from our 'local' friends (with the exeption of Alf) .....
After probably the unluckiest relegation of all time, our lovely little neighbours told us all we would be going down to League 2. We would get pathetically small crowds, and hit rock bottom when we played Accy Stanley. WRONG!!!! We are going up, as are Accy.
What makes me laugh about that lot, they cite Rovers fans as becoming arrogant once they became Premier League fans etc. The reality is, they have. While we have found ourselves as a club again. All this season is doing, is bringing the fans and club closer again. And that is all down to one man. Tony Mowbray.

Tony Mowbray has turned a basket case into a team with a vision that In itself is impressive enough but to have our owners ear as well is unbelievable
I like him a lot in his mannerisms and approach
Good signs this club is shaking itself out of the ashes and is rising up all down to this man.

Completely agree, and felt from very early on (even last season) we had got the right man.
He has proven to be the perfect timely ‘fit’.
I do not really want to crit our neighbours for their barrage towards us, as they have had to endure very long term crit from our lot.
It’s only really to be expected.

If Mr Mowbray gets us up his way, great, he's done his job. Pay him a bonus, thank him, then look for a replacement. I think we need a young more positive manager moving forward. My choice would be Johnson and dunn who've done brilliant, playing attacking football for the u23s.

So you'd fire someone who has completely turned the club around and who clearly has the greatest respect of the players, in order to take a chance by appointing people who are already part of the club's structure, but have no experience in the wider managerial field?
Shouldn't we be considering sacking him if we DON'T get promotion, rather than if we do?!!

Mowbrays approach will not see us back in the premier league. He's a mature manager and it shows. He has done great for us up to this point, but he's not the man for the future of Rovers.

This is probably getting pointless, Saxo. You have now turned to completely untestable predictions of the future.
I have no idea if Mowbray can get us to the PL. Neither have you. All I know is that changing managers, using the revolving-door method, has hardly proved a glorious success for us. You must have noticed that someone who has been adored as a "good" manager, one season, has often become despised by the fans a year later. Look at Leicester!
I can't believe you still have this faith that there are infallible miracle-workers out there, waiting to be snapped up.
