Marley, you are completly missing the point, my post was not about the poem, it was letting your fans know about a really unique place to visit in Burma, a place I know well after spending 5 years of my life in the far east. To know something about what our boys went through in WW2 try reading "The Marine from Mandalay" by James Leasor, humbling.

i know you was posting about burma, but the point i was making was the last sentence you used, came from the poem by rupert brooke . lying in a foreign field , that is forever england, applies to commonwealth war cemetaries all over the world. not just in burma.

whats that got to do with the price of fish ?

rupert brooke is buried in greece , and he wrote the poem , try telling that to the thousands of the relatives of the soldiers who are buried in france , belgium, holland , italy, and many other cemetaries across the world , that the same sentence does not apply to them and they would laugh at ya.

Hi Fred, my book is called "A Piece of the Action" by Graham Price, I have had to write it as fiction which will become clear as you read it. I was a tracker and Malay linguist with 42 Commando in Borneo and I have included some action from that war zone.
