Bong certainly got it, I had not reckoned on that, but I guess I should have!
Wasn't happy with the stick the fans gave Bong..
Brighton fans singing " we're a town full of rascists " ..lol
Bong certainly got it, I had not reckoned on that, but I guess I should have!
Sorry for smiling...

That's Bong out of order ?.
Was being discussed on 606 on Radio 5 on the way home.
Nobody mentioned the fact that, in spite of the case being not proven and Jay having apologised for his gesture and what he actually said, Bong is still insisting that Jay said racist remarks, in fact, he was quoted in the Brighton Argus as saying he knows what was said.
The fact that he was booed today reflects his refusal to accept the verdict given by the FA as not proven. He could also have offered an apology to Jay for the fact that he may have misheard, however, he has not done this so was asking for all he got today.
This then led to Brighton fans chanting that Burnley were racist an the Burnley fans chanting homophobic remarks --both which are totally unacceptable.
Booing an opposition player on a football field has always been acceptable --for whatever reason and Chris Hughton has done himself no favours by saying what he said.
Likewise, both sets of fans did themselves no favours by chanting what they chanted.
This will go on and on because Bong refuses to accept the findings of the FA and draw a line under it.
I wasn't there today, but if I had have been I'd have joined in with the booing. I detest people who play the race card just as much as I detest racists.
I had forgotten just how high the esteem Jay Rodriguez was held in his time with us.
Bong looked shell shocked at the abuse he was receiving, he obviously had no idea it was coming!![]()
What Hughton and other critics overlook is, that if Bong had acknowledged the verdict, accepted Jay's apology, and moved on, then there would have been no reaction to him yesterday. But, as others have pointed out, he wouldn't let it lie, he continued to accuse Jay of being a racist.
For which he received a much deserved torrent of abuse yesterday. But not for the original complaint, which any fair minded person would agree he was entitled to make about what he assumed Jay to have said.
I do like the fact that Hughton, and no doubt the media, are shocked by what happened, but I'm not surprised. Those living in their bien-pensant PC bubble are totally unable to comprehend how ordinary people out there in the real world are thinking, in their world Jay is a racist who got away with it, and totally undeserving of any sympathy. Any other conclusion is simply unthinkable to them.
I agree sinkov. I read the thirty page report of the proceedings and there were a few occasions where Bong claimed not to have heard things or changed his story, however, he is adamant that he heard making racist remarks. Selective hearing can be a good thing when the wife wants me to do something, however, not when making accusations which he will not let drop by accepting the findings of the enquiry.
It was obvious that he was going to get some reaction yesterday because if his ongoing agenda against a Burnley lad.
