cant agree Joel, Ekuban is pants, could see that 1st time he played for us, hes had a few games now and nothing ive seen since changes that. Another Habib Haribo, about as useful as a gummy bear upfront.
Im less worried about the players than the position of 1st team coach, some money should be spent in that department and the rest will follow, i actually think we have some decent players, but absolutely zero quality coaching....
I'd keep sacko and ekuban because they both have pace and ekuban has decent strength too, both can be coached to improve, so many times folk say our squad is too slow, we'll get these 2 coached properly and it won't be. Also with ekuban get him in a 2 upfront formation, he can't play the lone striker role. Lasogga also in a 2 upfront formation could be good if coached right, he has a great shot on him, and if he was utter crap, why is it that only 2 seasons ago we was called up to the Germany squad, coach was ready to pick him, and then he got injured, again if properly coached, he could be a good striker
Clive, if he could shoot he would score, thats how it works.
If the only criteria is pace and strength, throw in a little coaching, well, we should sign a couple of Rugby League lads....
It really depends what wages they're on, if they're on the equivalent of U23 wages then no desperate need to get rid (I mean, LUFC, whilst having many successes bringing on young players, has also let a good few gems slip away). But if they're on 1st team wages, and I think we all agree they're not the quality we need in the 1st team, then the immediate cost outweighs the possible future value - but if that's the case then it won't be as simple as saying 'get rid', someone else would actually have to want them.
usain bolt is fast , it does not mean to say he can score 10-15 goals a season , or get to the byeline and put the ball on a sixpence, instead of putting it in to row z of the stands every week . as for lasogga their is more chance of heckingbottom winning manager of the month , than him been here next season .
