In the past few months there has been a swathe of "angry young things" who can't spell properly, have poor grammar that is then understood as it has been written. You challenge the poster who then gets verbally abusive as you have purposely misunderstood what he/she wrote. The truth is that the poster knew exactly what he intended to say but the vocabulary used did not convey that intended meaning. Some of these posters were the same person who, at times was having conversations with himself as well as annoying the hell out of the rest of the posters.

BTW - I am a retired English teacher
    BTW- He speaks gobbledygook.

You've got me... had to take early retirement in 2003 following an accident at school involving a lathe and my arm. Spelled the end of cricket coaching too.

It's an Academy now by the way. Maybe some of the ex pupils are on this forum, or even current ones.

Ah yes...the old ‘turn it into an Academy’ panacea. If you want to know if a school has a slightly ‘chequered’ history check to see if it’s an Academy.
Seems you’ve already found yourself on the wrong side of our resident ‘rebel without a clue’. MadAmster too...doesn’t seem keen on teachers...mind you, it does seem as if the English Dept. may have let him down...still...can’t make a silk purse and all that...as they say.
Sorry to hear about the arm...you were a damned good cricket coach as I recall...didn’t you bat a bit and bowl some slow left arm spin...for Clifton wasn’t it? Suppose the accident might have brought that to a premature end.
    Be in touch.

I criticise when its deserved and try to be fair and balanced.

Now, I have no idea if it was your intention or not but that, IMO, is a quality, amusing post. Well done.

Hard to bowl left arm spin now with no left arm. Had a couple of trials for the county and played in second XI a couple of times but couldn't handle the step up.

Wow...had no idea it was that bad...really sorry to hear it.
Guess the old kitchen fitting sideline has been put ‘on hold’ too...although they can do all sorts these days...if it was done at work I should imagine you’re entitled to some of the benefits our injured soldiers receive.
Brave of you to come on under your real name though...as you can tell from the pm...I’m more discreet...’Old Parky’ was your nick name wasn’t it...that would have done.

See ‘Amster can’t quite shake off the day job...he’ll be marking posts out of ten soon!
