Coisty the C@nt couldnt manage it and he is hun thru and thru. Why will Gerrard do anything better? Cos he was a better player? Are they fkn mental! This could be the second greatest gift to non-hun fitba fans since the c@nts went bust. An absolute calamity waiting to happen.
4 year deal..LFC U18s coach...he got a special feeling when King Hun phoned him? Heheheh
The blind faith and desperate hope coming out of the unwashed hoardes towards this ridiculous appointment is embarrassing. The worst thing is, our manager and the wimps playing for him will be equally starstruck and in awe of the hollow hype when we play his ****e teams, so really, nothing changes for us. They could have Lulu as manager, Jackie Bird as captain, Chic Dung in goals and we’d still show them far too much respect and ****e it against them home and away. On a positve note, im still going to enjoy watching the wheels fall off at ****brox. Might stick a tenner on Del taking over from Gary Mac in 18months.
    Aye, this.

The orcs are falling over themselves to compare him to Souness, but Souness inherited a reasonable squad and way more money than anyone else in the league.

Barnes would be a better comparison, but even he inherited a decent squad and a reasonable budget.

Gerrard will have neither. Paul Murray and Barrie Scott have resigned from the board this week. Rats deserting the sinking ship I'd assume because they know the Takeover Panel stuff is in the end game now and the cold shoulder is coming which will affect anyone associated with the zombie board.

Rumours are that King is touting a new share issue but how anyone can be gullible enough to believe he can achieve that with no NOMAD and the takeover panel all over him to make his formal offer on the first issue is beyond me. I mean it doesn't surprise me with the orc support but you'd think Gerrard would have advisers to do the due dilligence for him.

I suppose it's a no lose situation for him. If he turns them round he's a miracle worker, if they don't fund him and he makes an erse of it they were a basket case beyond rescue anyway.

A good read on this from Tom English

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44003424

I myself cant help but think he is going to be the huns version of Mark McGhee. I think the difference will be that he will get cash to spend, however good players need a good manager and lets be honest, he has no experience of that.

As Tom English has said above, it is a massive gamble that may or may not pay off. The problem with being a Rangers manager is the expectation is to win the league and/or the cups. There is no steadying of the ship, there is no progress allowed to be made in small steps, its just instant success that is required. That's what separates the cheeks from everyone else and its why i have been saying for years now that we are entering an era where i think, one of the Old Firm will completely collapse.

It was always a duopoly from late 80's to 2012, with money being spent on big named signings and wages. As we all know now, Oldco didnt actually have the money and died because of it. However, despite changes in their circumstances, the fans haven't changed. Celtic were rebuilt from the roots up by Fergus McCann and that has paid off for them. Sevco on the other hand want instant and success and they want it now. Spending years behind Celtic and rebuilding is not an option. They are trying to fast track success and while they are a big club in terms of fan base, they are also in huge debt. When the old club was around, there were 2 Champions league places, there was more TV money and their was 'fake money' buying them success. Most of those things dont exist now and if they want to be this massive club, they need to topple Celtic. Thats not going to happen anytime soon.

Many of us on here lay claims to knowing they are going bust, which isnt going to happen anytime soon. However chasing Celtic and living in their shadow cant last forever. If they do remain behind Celtic, if Gerrard is a huge failure (4 year deal on massive wages) and they continue be unsuccessful, they wont last forever. Of course there are huns willing to piss every penny they have away on Sevco, but everyone has their limits. Sevco to me just smack of desperation in this appointment. Their owner is a mess, their boardroom is a mess, their squad is a mess, they have been through 7 managers in 3.5 years and if this managerial appointment is as equally a mess then i think they are royally f*cked. Time will tell.

The annoying thing about it all is that despite all of this shyte they are going through, they are still managing to convincingly beat us... we have completely failed to capatlise on their mess and that is unacceptable. I do struggle to revel in their struggle, while they continue to outdo us on every occasion.

Said it many times. We had the chance to do them on the park and have them scared of us, now it's the other way about already. That's unacceptable from McInnes.

What chance do we have though when Milne actually wants a strong Rangers? Building a new stadium knowing, accepting and probably hoping that Celtic and Rangers are back to fighting it out with each other. We can pick up the scraps.

Nobody knows if this will be a success or a failure and nobody knows if there will be any investment. Lets just sit back and watch. They do however need to stop ten in a row which makes me think(speculate) they will over spend

We are being sabotaged internally by Milne, a proper AFC chairman would smell blood and go after Sevco rather than appeasing them, same goes for our manager as well.

We all laugh at Sevco and their board for the many f@ck ups they have achieved the last couple of years but the one thing you can say about them is their ambition is to win the league.

I don’t think our board has that ambition.

Our fans think getting knocked out in the same round of Europe is progress to be fair

    The "once michty"

No Milne has no ambition and we will never do anything with him at the helm, you could have Guardiola as manager and it wouldnt make any difference. 3rd is about as good as it gets in Milnes eyes now that Sevco are here, a real Dons man as chairman would be aiming to weaken Sevco further and have a real go at the Tims.

That’s the accepting mediocrity thing you mentioned which has been filtered down from Milne and his cronies.

Thats it we are a pale shadow of the mighty club we were. Even a little bit of ambition is just not present in our board, and some fans just accept it/far too passive, in days gone by Milne would have been hunted like Ehlex Smiff was in 92. Doldrums=Apathy.
