Tha still wasting thi Bank Holiday evvin pops at me. I worry for your mental state. The thing is I couldn't give a shiny sh1te what tha thinks abart me so it's all a waste of your time.

To put an end to this I shall stop reading your posts and I suggest you do the same with mine. Life is too short.
How about - 69 year old man expresses an opinion which is ill informed. Speaking from his own personal experience a younger man attempts to inform said 69 year old of the actual facts of the matter.
69 year old is too entrenched in his views to accept that he'd formed an opinion based on assumption as opposed to fact, and instead of accepting the facts decides to take offence at being corrected and baits said younger man over several weeks.
69 year old man eventually accepts he's been a bit out of order and they move on.

My mental health is fine thanks by the way.

Don't give up on us baby, we can still pull through.

RF I know you prefer facts rather than opinion
So how about younger man just looks back at the facts on this thread & reads post 49 & perhaps offers advice about bullies [& who's "bullying" who] based on facts rather than assumption & obvious bias
Younger man eventually accepts he's jumped in with both feet without checking the facts & moves on without taking offence after being corrected
    Your idea was sound

Sorry Exile but I don't really know where your coming from ?
    Post 49 wasn't mine ?
I was referring to SB Red's reaction to the news that company cars and private medical insurance aren't the enormous tax fiddle he thought they were, and his pops at me ever since.
He's still at it - "Police were informed by a middle aged man whispering from the window of his company car in the car park at a Corporate Golf Event."
Rather than graciously accepting that his standpoint (which wasn't based on any personal experience) was incorrect he's chosen to badmouth me for the last few weeks. He's still taking the same standpoint with his latest dig about a corporate golf event.

Puzzled as to why you think I've 'jumped in with both feet' ???
As an exponent of looking at previous posts I'd have thought the facts are there for all to see.

I'm really not sure what you mean by your post ??

I think you meant Post 47 Ziles. The young man who never bullies has called me a "bigot" and a "reight arsehole" in this thread, to which I have never returned the insults and do not intend to. Don't let the facts spoil the argument.

I intended to drop the whole issue but clearly nerves are raw. I went up to watch Barkisland play cricket this afternoon and sat with the usual band of village elders up there. We were talking the usual old blokes stuff when one of the blokes neighbours rolls in the car park in a brand new shiny car. Somebody said "How does he afford a car like that ?" and somebody replied "Oh it's not his, it's a company car". Naturally my interest was aroused and I said "There's a bloke on the internet saying it's hardly worth having a company car", to which the bloke replied "I used to have one year after year, al tell you how it works"--

"My last company car was two years ago. It had a P111D Value (almost the same as the cost price) of £20,000, a mid range company car. HMRC assessed it's Benefit Value to me of £4800 per annum so I had to pay 40% tax on that ie £1920 pa or about £160 per month. For that £160 a month I got--
--a new/ latest model car every three years. If I had bought it on personal finance over 5 years £20,000 would have cost me £400 a month and the VAT at 20% was included in that price. Businesses can claim back part or all of the VAT so it is more tax efficient for them to have company cars.
--free servicing, repairs and tyre replacement
    --car tax paid by company
    --free breakdown cover

It was a no brainer really. Had I taken the £4800 as additional income I would have had to pay the same tax leaving me with £2880pa or about £240 a month to cover the finance for the car and other costs, plus taking the depreciation hit myself rather than the company. Naturally I opted for a company car every time like most do".

I said "Summats not reyt here. This bloke says the company cars are hardly worth having. He knows all about company cars because he opts for them year after year. I'm sure he will put us right".

    Sumdi deed ??

Lads, a while ago I tried to explain (politely at first) to SB Red that company cars weren't the huge corporate tax fiddle he'd decided they were. Speaking from experience I went on to explain that depending on the nature of your job it's a fine line between it being worth having one or not.
I got mullered by SB , my extensive experience is obviously trumped by his bitter opinion
Since then he's had little digs on a regular basis.
As a lad mother RF's advice on how to beat the bullies was to ignore them and they'd get bored.
So that's my tactic with SB Red.Do the same with Exile Roma. It's really not worth getting wound up about.

Anyway, got to go now. I'm in the Ducati hospitality unit at Oulton Park tonight and all this complimentary Peroni, paid for by somebody else, isn't going to drink itself.

    Goodnight all.

RF Is there not a reference to me being a bully in your post shown above
I was pointing out by referring to post 49 which was Roma's post which read as follows
"Tha needs t gerrart moor Exile , doowin thi no good this festerin sickness thas got" [note Festerin sickness] referring to my ill health
& telling you based on fact not opinion who the culprit is here who you sought to support whilst ignoring the facts
While at the same time accusing SB of something you're doing yourself
    Do you get it now?

While we're into explaining why did you refer to me as a bully?
