i see the world hopefully. not the word definitely. No doubt he will be called a liar if this guy isn't in the door and announced by 9am Friday. Could you imagine, its almost like there is something else happening Friday that might knock this back a bit, and then all hell will break loose, cos he didn't deliver a hopefully youngster.

So you think he's handled it well this season, how many have fallen through after he's announced them and made him look a nob? All I'm saying is why can't he just waith until they have signed instead of raising everyones hopes and expectations, just to be let down again?

I have no idea how many. How many is it? Also, I think it making him 'look a nob' is a matter of personal opinion surely. I can't remember one scenario where I though he looked a nob due to this. Is my memory fading or did I just see it for what it actually is, namely a chairman who is passionately and excitedly working to make the club better?

He looks a bit silly rather than a nob when his excitement over a possible transfer fails to materialise. I agree with Airborn Pie, forget the gossip and just tell us when it's happened. He certainly made himself look a nob however when he promised us all "you are in for a treat tomorrow" after watching an indoor training session where we beat a team of traffic cones!

Yes but that was the cones' first team you know, not their development side

    Is the right answer.
What is the point in saying anything until it's done and dusted. He just opens himself up for negative comments.

He could convey the ambitions with a sense of realism "We are trying to get a youngster" rather than "We expect to make announcement next* Friday" * That was a couple of Fridays ago. "The lads look good in training and we hope we can take that to the pitch tomorrow".

RT used to get overexcited. These are not supposed to be kids with new toys but hard headed businessmen, passionate yes but over-excitable - not good. I just hope KN keeps his squad shielded.

I'm with you on this. Why fans can't give him a break for getting excited, bearing in mind what a great vibe he's created at Notts, is utterly beyond me. He's simply maintaining the level of engagement and keeping the excitement bubbling. Hardy rocket science is it
