People are calling for bans. Not all, but a certain amount. they may not be shouting out to ban but their intentions are clear.

Some people can argue and debate heatedly with debates maybe boiling over at times...but they get back to debating other things and don't start issuing threats to leave if the other posters don't.

One persons left about 967 times in the last 3 years (minor exaggeration).....(ok a major major major exaggeration) over not getting their own way.
They obviously come back with the old " waheyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy, welcome back, you've been sorely missed. Your wit and expert knowledge on everything has been so badly needed."
Naturally the self imposed exile gets a great big bone on over it because he naturally wondered if he was still liked...and for the 967th time (massive massive exaggeration).... (but most likely getting tedious) a proportion of posters will ensure his feelings don't get hurt by playing the hip hip hooray march to make the feel good factor all the more better for the person...when really, some of them want to shout " ohhhh man up you pompous sniveling booger you... and stop getting your budgie smugglers in a knot."

But they just think it instead.
And yeah I'm having a little lighthearted dig at no one in particular (cough) who will admit it...maybe.......but this is what it should be all about. Fun, digs and banter with opposing views of all kinds whether liked by some or hated by most...as long as it doesn't step over the sick boundary or racist one, or literal real name and location personal attacking in CLEAR antagonistic, nasty ways, then let it roll and let the board build.

This quote of yours "the worst crime is when good people sit back and do nothing" can work both ways...because you've got to figure out who the good people are...not just a belief that mass opinion is the good against minority stand out opinion being supposedly bad.

Sometimes it takes the one to do something good whilst the many sit back and do nothing.
    See what I mean?

You don't understand. There is no debate. How can you debate with someone who says one thing today and then the complete opposite tomorrow as has been proven on here re Pboro. Don't you see?

You keep saying that the majority don't want to read another opinion. Wrong. But if you're going to present a different opinion to the majority then it has to be coherent and consistent. If your view keeps changing just to keep the argument going then you lose all credibility and it becomes 'sh*t stirring' as you called it.

If, like Pboro, I spent the best part of a season slagging off Shelvey and then declared that Rafa should now build a team around him, what would you think?

No I don't see because it's not true.
Yeah he changes from time to time, over the season but don't we all?

No I'm not. I'm saying people simply believe mass opinion is right and they basically look down on alternate opinion to it if that opinion is in the minority. It's the truth.

That depends on what you're trying to say and the time it's said, as I said in the first quote, unless you mean something else.

Not true....not true at all. That's where you need to understand it.
How many topics did we have on Mo Diame?
Get him out of the club.
    Never play anothers game.
    He's lazy.
    Etc etc etc.
    Then all change.
So tell me something about this change in opinions because we all do it but like I said before, mass opinion at the time stumps minority opinion and the minority will be cast off as anything and everything and blamed for things the masses do regularly.

I'd think something's changed with Shelvey....and it did.
Shelvey wised up a bit and Rafa wised up in tactics and allowed a freer role to fit his talent instead of having him stifled.

Same with Diame. Same with quite a few.
If you think I'm wrong then explain it all.
