Looks a great prospect but in all seriousness, how many centre mids do we want or need?

Can play the ‘No10’ role according to his Man City bio. I know nothing about this lad other than he has been at Man City for over a decade, has represented England at youth level. Could he turn out to be a Mark Draper?

A set-piece specialist, the City midfielder came agonisingly close to finding the winner against Chile with a well-struck free kick.

Although he was disappointed not to hit the back of the net, it has left him with the determination to work even harder on the training field, in the hope that he can make the difference when it counts.

“If I had put it a yard to the left it would have gone in. I practice my free-kicks after training all the time, trying different techniques and putting them in different places,” Patching asserted. This is quote from when he was on duty for England under 18s

That link seems to suggest he has been pretty poorly this last year with glandular fever, hopefully he is raring to get back to full match fitness and is a diamond in the rough.

Another useless fact from that link is that his agent is non other than Micheal Owen, am sure Hardy was star struck and offered the kid a decent sum, am surprised he hasn’t mentioned it on his Twitter. But then again after how Virtue-Thick turned out thankfully he has kept this one to himself.

Virtue was decent, we just needed to show a bit more patience.

Not sure which match he was decent in, when selected was not impressed at all with his contribution. Hopefully Patching and Crawford will be much better prospects than Virtue who weakened the side in most matches.

In his welcome interview Patching refers to his agent as 'Simon'

No, he said his agent was late, sorting the deal out with Notts as it was the same day he 'signed on'. Please pay attention Swale!!!
