    I think that before we get carried away with a new forward line we need to make signings first. The Jay Rod on seems to be dragging on, Birmingham Mail suggesting a fee north of 20M when it seems we could have signed him last season for 11M. Taking too long, WBA are difficult to deal with. Eddie Howe also wants him. May not happen yet......

    Jay wants to come back to Burnley, which sort of gooses Howe.

    Thing that worries me BT is that when transfers linger on. Wolves have already signed 3 and they ain’t in Europa which starts our season early. OK I am not the most patient man in the world, I like things settled and put to bed.

    Some clubs get things settled and put to bed early Dave, we aren't one of them.
