Haha yes mate, I should know that after all this time. Thought this summer it may be different, but not likely

Going off past experience,I can expect BFC to let things drag on until the last 48 hours of the transfer window, then lose out on their targets to higher bidders. Then inevitably start running round like headless chickens trying to make any signing in order to subdue fans, like Nakhi Wells.
I will not believe anything about transfers until the player is photographed at Turf Moor wearing claret and blue.Anther one of our so called targets called Andone has recently been snapped up by BHA.

Or they could sign players in plenty of time like Pope JBG Taylor or Cork ..or indeed they could conclude deals several weeks before they actually announce them 😉 ..which is what usually happens

Or we could chase players like Dawson, Lansbury and Foster all summer, and miss out in the end. That's more our style. Or maybe now that we're awash with cash, those days are behind us ?

The sellers, players and agents hold all the aces when it comes to transfers and we stick to our policy no matter what. None of us really know who is in the pipeline, unless you are working for the club, so we just hear the speculation and then the rumours start. Meanwhile the agents are at work in trying to get as big a deal as possible because, if they manage that, they make even more money! Unless we are prepared to pay silly money right from the outset this scenario will continue.

Paper talk .. last year the press had us down as chasing a Forest player all summer ...no interest from BFC at all

Not saying they haven't gone to the wire and missed out but some of the speculation is wide of the mark

Foster ? Who was he ? I've forgotten
