Think you would struggle to find 25%
got 2 promotions in a row and left us not in the relegation zone.

that is far more important than how many players he signed

The threads is about championship std players and how hard it is for warne to sign them.. so it's far more important than titles and promotions

I would have Inc readfearn but he only had 1 January transfer which Inc best, Kelly, belaid and becchio
    Not good is it...

Whilst Evans has managed in the championship how many good players has he signed.
    I'm guessing not many

I'm expecting not to have heard about any players we do sign, except maybe any steals of promising higher profile players from lower league like Holmes. Warne quite rightly has to work within an unchampionship budget, get players with heart that fit his team structure and focus on us working as a unit. Frankly we can't afford to take big gambles on proven championship players, they will be out of our price range unless on career plummit.

Hoping we buy wisely with future in mind, keep faith with Warne whatever just see the whole project as steady building, even if that involves another relegation fight in short term.

I like the Warney template for signings. It worked last year and will hopefully work this year. Its like you say pup, if we have to suffer another relegation in an attempt to get it right so be it. I think its the best template we have and probably our only one realistically.

After the Blackstock fiasco, I doubt that we'll be signing anybody who was slightly famous years ago, but has hardly played (or scored) for several seasons. Leon Best just escapes from that category, mainly due to THAT 4-0 performance at Franchise, which effectively kept us up and relegated them

Yep no more Blackstock fiascos mike that was very naive of us and showed our inexperience at Championship level. It also showed naiveness from some of our fans for pushing to get that sort of player. Think club and fans have all learned from that experience or at least I hope so!

    Three loans, three perms
Very true, but that’s how the scattergun system works, fire lots of pellets and some will hit. Evans was lucky in that the Chairman cut him some slack to carry out the scattergun approach

aslonh as Evans kept on delivering which he did Stewart was going to back his style of management.

if Evans had a good amount to spend in the championship do you think he would of had a different approach
