Yup. Ali, Lingard, Sterling all flatter to deceive and wouldn't get in the best International teams. The rest have acquitted themselves fairly well. We're not a particularly good team but we deserve to win this one, imo.

Sterling and Ali need dropping. Lingard too but that won't happen.

Colombia have to be the dirtiest team in the competition, plus they were aided and abetted by the American ref, how they still had eleven players on the field at half time just did my head in. Still say Shelvey would have made it much easier for Kane and Sterling but what the f'uck do I know.
Sweden is a good team but I think we will beat them, onward !!

Alli looks like he is carrying an injury , lingard is just awful , rashford should be starting and Kane shouldn't be playing as a midfielder.

The result: best team won but it all so nearly went the same way as usual.

The ref: I´m just thankful that he gave (what was a clear) penalty. After that Colombia´s antics got to him and he started giving them too many decisions. How can a weak ref like that be refereeing a world cup knockout game?

The players for next game: I honestly thought Lingard had been subbed off in the second half - he truely disappeared and Paul Daniel´s would´ve been impressed.
Drop Sterling and start Rashford instead. I´d give Lingard another start after his performance against Panama but with Sterling playing like this it´s like England start with half a man less on the pitch.

As I, and many others, suspected both Belgium and England produced poor to mediocre performances after resting players in the last game. This competition is all about momentum and England need to get some, fast.

Note to Southgate.. Don't aim EVERY set piece at McGuire and don't put your smallest defender on the line at set pieces.
