It seems to me that Rafa's critics are suggesting that he is demanding the world. He talked in great phrases about Yeung and I was happy enough with that signing. I think we need to be a lot more ambitious when it comes to signing a striker, but it's not a bad signing IMO. Rafa seems to feel the same way. He wants to build on what he already has, and for that he needs cash and a bit of ambition - but nothing remotely close to what many other clubs are spending. And I'm not demanding that either.
typical mercenary wont commit to ashly who got him here backed him when he failed and took us down
and now quiet rightly so is saying sign for a few years and i will back you

what any decent owner wont do is let someone like rafa run his contract down and yet let him spend millions that the next new manager might not want

ash is safe guarding the little we do have to spend
and if rafa thinks he can get more elswhwere
lets face it he will go
and we will here the same old bull****3

So he's a mercenary if he signs the contract because then he's greedy, and he's a mercenary if he doesn't because then he is turning his back on Ashley? So no matter what he is a mercenary to you?

Do you see why most posters have a hard time taking you seriously?

    Have a nice evening.

He only ‘failed’ because he had a lot less than half the time and a transfer window to turn things round that other managers had who were in the relegation dogfight at the time. He was also saddled with others signings and mercenary’s such as Sissoko et al who we all know have the heart the size of a pea and didn’t give a shyte about NUFC. Ashley HAD to back him as he knew that we would fester in the Championship for years if he didn’t. The reason he had to put another £20m in was because he didn’t sell the assets properly. By that I mean pat himself on the back for getting £30m for the French sulk and £25m for Wijnaldum and then trying to pull the wool over our eyes as they were actually crap deals really given the small fry payment schedule. It would have been better to get £40m upfront for the two, and then he wouldn’t have had to pump more money in and have a further strangle hold. But we all know he loves that so he can flex his muscles and demand much more for the club when he says he wants to sell it. However, didn’t he say something along the lines of holding on till we win something or get into the Champions league? so that’s another feckn lie from a proven liar ie Keegan court case. The bloke a Cnut we all know it but you just want to keep licking his hoop.

Always the perennial wet blanket you, can't even get it right about who took us down. Ashley the big useless loser took us down. Rafa's resullts the short time he had would have finished us up mid table on average. Try and work it out and use your brain cell.

But I don't expect you to be a good enough business man to work out that the building of the the team is a long term thing.

A thing that Ashley only ever committed to when he panicked and took us to two relegations.

The only manager, and I use the word manager loosely he backed with good money was his own stupid bad choice MacMuffin.

He was as good a manager for us as Ashley is an owner. Bloody useless with absolutely no ambition for this club.

And that's a thing only genuine supporters see.

Bob if you seriously expect Pboro and Ghost to believe those irrefutable truths you have just posted then you must believe in miracles.
