If it's Bauer then great but a past it journeyman,I would rather a untried defender in Wharton.

A 10m budget is average at championship level. In no way is it breaking the bank. That amount could secure 3 or 4 good standard players for us.

However under the rules(for some)you can be 19 million in debt over 3 season's
So 10 million is a huge chunk of that
Especially for a club who makes no profit.

Ipswich have just gazumped us for a player cost them £700,000.. Are we really expecting to sign an accomplished centre forward for less than that?

Wasn't Mulgrew an ageing defender playing in Scotland? Which is a weaker division that Div1? He's done ok for us.

Wasn't Dack playing at Gillingham? Why did no other club come in for him? Wasnt Gillingham a lower league club? Does he have any Champ experience?

One could ask what was the point of signing them?

Didnt Wharton only play 1 game last season in Div1?
So why are we (in your opinion) having to replace a guy who made one substitute appearance?
That as you know, makes no sense? Are you saying we need to replace him in the under 23's? As we have. The next lad has already been moved up.
Wharton was not close to the first team. He played once as sub. So in no way does he require to be replaced? He had never been involved in the squad. Mowbray said, he wont get in the side this season, unless your now saying you WOULD drop Mulgrew or Lenihan to play a young lad not ready? Which again makes no sense. But Mowbray also said its CRUCIAL he plays league games. So the loan makes sure he will do that. So when we DO need him, he will be ready. He wont get that playing in the Under 23's.
