TM in today's telegraph as good as states we are only bringing in loans. He tries to make this sound better by suggesting there is scope to make them perm in the future. He said that last season, but the only loan made perm was downing. So that's that. Venkys idea of backing the manager for a championship promotion challenge is a £500,000 net spend. I wasn't around Blackburn for the bad old days of the Bobby Saxton era in the 80s, when the club had so little money they were in debt to the milkman, but this is not so far behind that time.

I believe we paid at least a million for Davenport and who is to say we won't make Armstrong a permanent
I thought 5 million was our budget and it still could be.
Some teams are in an embargo and others will follow next season with blatant overspending
We will continue to slowly build.

I'd love to continue this stimulating dialogue with you, but this thread is for my thoughts on BRFC, so continue if you like, but there'll be no more response from myself.

I think I will go and find your post, and what you said. And give it a bump.
Lets not forget the time you announced to the world of Roversmad that you perv through the key hole at an underaged girl.
It should have been reported to the police at the time. No laughing matter at all.

    But please, carry on ................

You are grossly exaggerating, Saxo. You've suddenly decided to go back into a totally negative mode again - as you do about twice a year.
We have just seen a very decent performance against a PL team, which you have chosen to ignore, because it doesn't suit your current agenda.
I have no more idea than you do what the budget is, but it looks as if things are on the move. You have bought completely into the idea that we will plummet if we don't spend ten million, yet there are countless examples of very expensive failures, littered through many clubs' histories.
I am baffled as to why you feel you have to take extreme positions on every topic. You did it at least twice last season with regard to the team Mowbray was picking, and these blasts seem to spring out of nothing.
What's wrong with the idea of waiting to see what develops? There's nothing wrong with moderation and balance. Apart from anything else, you don't get so much egg on your face.
