If they sell Maguire (as is looking likely) then there is a good chance they'll come in for him. I hope and pray we don't sell him but they wave £45 million at Ashley's face then all he'll see is pound signs and we'll sell.

That would leave us with Schar, Clack and Lejeune as first team with Yarney behind them. Doesn't fill me with greatest confidence. It would also be a massive morale body blow to the squad.

He's our most improved player and our stats without him are shocking. But, more than that, he's our leader, our captain and is worth far more to us for those qualities.

I think Ash is right...seeing those pics this morning of the banners outside Shite Direct showed that something is stirring and selling Lascelles would generate even more bad feeling and maybe more folk would start to get involved.
