Vyner and Taylor to blame for first 2 goals. A balls up on left hand side for 3rd. The daft thing is all of these could have been avoided by some simple league 2 defending.Warne has got to drop Taylor. He runs about yeah but thats it. Procs looked good when he came on as did Newell. I was most disappointed in Vyner though because I thought he had been ok in the other games but he didnt win a header all game and his passing was awful. Vaulks was another headless chicken. The problem is who do we replace Vyner, Taylor and Vaulks with...4 5 1 was not the right formation either. The midfield was by passed by us and them so might as well have played with an extra forward.

A good comeback though in spite of all that but all a tad too late.

Ref was crap as well so nowt ever changes in the champ on that either.

Totally agree Roly - Taylor and Vaulks offer NOTHJING in this league and Vyner is very poor. All in all our MF is totally lacking in ideas so when we eventually do get possession everybody runs away from the player with the ball and then its launched to Smith who tries hard but again has limited ball control.I would bring Jones in for Vuner,Wiles for Vaulks and also consider Wood's future as seen last night he is so slow.

1st goal was 100% mattocks fault he failed to deal with the situation and yet again let the cross come from the left hand side, how can we blame the right back for the left back allowing yet another cross. Clough used to say that a full backs job was to stop crosses into the box, Joe Mattock does not do that job
2nd goal 3 players screwed up, yet again Mattock for not stopping the cross when he had a simple clearance, Rodak for not catching and Taylor for not clearing
We have two awful fullbacks and they need to be dropped and two loans brought in one left back and one central midfielder and vaulks moved to right back

Wouldn't disagree with much that's been said but the simple truth is we have a League 1 squad playing at Championship level. Almost every game we could name 4, 5, 6... players who've had a poor game generally or made mistakes that led to us conceding but is it right to blame the players? They're not performing badly out of choice, they're doing the best they can, in the main, they're simply way out of their depth. But that's a fact of our life in the Championship, we're not competitive enough.

Players are the easy targets but before citing them I'd look to our recruitment strategy and our coaching staff.

That said, Warne and company need time to work out our best starting XI, best formation, best tactics etc and hopefully to strengthen the team. Obviously we haven't got too much time as there's little doubt at the current rate we're heading for the bottom three, then to be cast adrift with no chance of recovery. The fixtures aren't designed to instil confidence wherever we look but let's see how the staff adapt over the next 4 - 6 games. What's obvious to us is surely obvious to them (isn't it?).

Right now, it's hard to imagine three teams worse than us come seasons end - so my thanks to QPR for trying harder than everyone to secure one of those positions. Long may it continue (although a change of management can't be too far away).

It's interesting to read comments on how poor certain players were/are. In the main our team consists of L1 players who did well last season and would do well again if we were in L1.

Nothing has changed has it? They will never be able to cope with the demands or the quality of the Championship. It's seriously better than the standards in L1. I think we all hoped that players such as Vaulks might be able to step up the second time around but the ability of most of our squad is not at a Championship level. But it's not the players' faults, they try but they are going to get found out. Visiting teams will go on the offensive when they come to NYS and maybe Warney thought that in his team selection, hoping to hoof a ball to Smithy and catch Hull out. I dunno.

The only thing Warney can do with the budget he has is to try and build, then keep, a team spirit that will challenge any team. This is far harder to do when the team losers games and that "losing" mentality steps in. Not sure why he plays defensively at home given the players he has but it's not really working.

I fear fans will forget that we are lucky to be in this league. The team cannot seriously make a challenge to avoid relegation unless players are brought in. That doesn't appear to be an option. I just hope we can give every game a good go, get in the oppositions' faces. Did well for 45 minutes at Leeds - that effort needs repeating every game.
