    Feels a bit surreal!

I know it's very early days, but are we really in 5th place? Its like a continuation of england at the world cup, the same feeling. A group of really hard working honest lads getting results against the odds, led by a very astute manager.

    Why surprised ?
He’s shown what he’s capable of over his tenure.
Just what final level he’ll achieve is yet to be seen.
    But, so far so good.

Thought it'd take a good few additions before we could look at top half.

Positions at this v v early stage mean nothing.
It’s just a case of enjoying the ride so far.
The real test (as always) is when results start to slip, which they will.
Again the question is, how we react to any downturn of results.
Our manager is so astute, as he’s seen it all before, that I’m comfortable that we’re in good hands.
My continued concern is that we’re still not seeing a real upturn in attendance growth. Which, although I have constantly doubted, nevertheless I was hoping for.

A lot of absentees want to see quality signings made.. Not just talk.. There's been enough big statements with no action during our owners reign.. Folk want to see players run out in blue and white.. That happens and we should see a steady increase in attendance.

I’m fairly uncomfortable if folk who have a continuing issue with Venkys as our owners would only consider a return if we (they) as a club throw ridiculous amounts of money at this that or other player.
I honestly believe they should maybe change allegiance to Man Utd.
There’s a real ‘fresh air’ sense abounding under TM’s leadership that I personally find refreshing. After all the *******s (gonads).

Don't get upset.. I'm only speculating on a possible reason why a proportion of fans refuse to return.

What a battle! I'm not quite sure I agree with the official site that we deserved all three points, but it makes up for the Millwall and Ipswich games, where we did.
There's loads of talk everywhere about new players, but Evans, Nyambe and Bennett have been superbly consistent this season, despite being up a level.
Smallwood was better today, as well. He is not looking composed on the ball, but he fights for everything.
A great experience for Nuttall. One thing that has struck me about the Championship so far is that the centre-backs don't just rely on "beef". Joe found space hard to come by, but he worked really hard. If he can get 30 games under his belt in D.1 or D.2, I think he could come good. (Mind you, he probably won't go at all, if the saga of Brereton doesn't finally come down in our favour!)
Raya is a superb shot-stopper, but I still think his distribution needs work.
Rothwell continues to look like a real bargain. I'm still not convinced that Bell is better than Williams, despite his extra pace. Not much in it for me, but some posters on the Telegraph seem to think it's an open-and-shut case in Bell's favour.
Palmer was a mixed bag, but he took the goal well.
Excellent, really, that we can do this without Dack, Armstrong (and Graham).
