Part one done, let's see what happens tomorrow. All eyes now on Jenkins, but he's had plenty of time to prepare a conditional move for a replacement.

We'll know how serious Mr Lai is about the club's future within the next 19 hours.

Not very, in my opinion Linden. If we were we wouldn't have left it so late. We all knew Chadli was leaving so why wait it until the day prior to the deadline. As for Dack, no chance! Can you see us offering Blacburn the type of deal that they would even consider because I can't? I'll be very surprised if we get the type of quality player that we require. With the greatest respect, Tyrone Mears! That doesn't fill you with confidence does it? As for Lai, I don't know what to think. From what we've seen so far, he's hardly 'hands on' is he? Probably in it for the money. I hope that today proves me wrong but I doubt it.

Mr Lai was recently quoted as having assets worth £4billion. The Albion probably accounts for around 4.5% of his assets, so his main attention will be elsewhere, which is understandable. I think he bought the club purely as a speculative investment, but it's obvious that he has been let down big time by poor decision making by people he entrusted to look after his investment. Selling Chadli for me is the first step to recover cash, thus strengthening the balance sheet. Bringing Jenkins back was a signal of the club's intent to revert to policies practiced by Peace. We may be surprised later on, but it's obvious that BD is now part of the spin, and I find that regrettable.
